Used motor oil and batteries may also be disposed of at the Transfer Station.

Funding from the NJDEP Clean Communities Grant enables the Township to accept Bulky Waste at the Transfer Station.  All items must be placed in the bins -- no construction material is accepted.  This program is for the convenience of township residents, no commercial waste will be accepted.

Leaves are composted at the Transfer Station.  Please put the leaves between the cones in the brush area.  Tree brush less than 6" in diameter is also accepted.

Household chipping is done, on average, one week per month.  All chipping should be put out curbside and with butt ends out.  The Township will chip brush up to 6" in diameter; anything bigger can be taken to the transfer station.   The Township will not chip brush if trash / debris is found in brush or if the work done was completed by a contractor or if the work begin completed is of the lot chearing nature.  This service is for the residents and done at the discretion of the Public Works Department.  If there are any questions on this matter, contact the Public Works Department.

Residents are permitted to take the compost and wood chips from the Township's Transfer Station.  This program is intended for residents only and for home use.  Collection of these materials is on a Self-Service Basis Only and At Your Own Risk.  The compost  is available inside the gate at the Transfer Station during the operational hours of the Transfer Station. If you have equipment, i.e., backhoe, that you will be bringing to collect these materials, contact our Superintendent, Pete Berenato, for proper scheduling.
